Overview

Comfort Wave Home Services is an HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical Company in Oklahoma City! The Controller oversees the financial operations of the company and plays a key role in shaping our financial strategy. You’ll develop metrics aligned with our goals, maintain strong internal controls, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver exceptional service and build a company our customer's trust.

Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of monthly financials
• Oversee all aspects of month‑end close, including accruals, banking activity, and inventory adjustments
• Maintain accurate and consistent balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure P&L accuracy and integrity
• Prepare and submit financial statements and KPIs to Corporate
• Produce daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as required


Cash, Banking & Inventory Oversight
• Manage banking relationships and cash flow activities
• Oversee cash management processes
• Conduct inventory analysis and ensure inventory accuracy


Strategic Support & Analysis

• Lead financial reviews with Operations and Corporate
• Identify overhead reduction opportunities and operational efficiencies
• Report areas of weakness, risk, or opportunity to Operations and the CFO
• Participate in forecasting, budgeting, and annual third‑party audits

 

Internal Controls & Compliance
• Maintain financial security by establishing and monitoring internal controls
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements


Leadership & Team Development
• Lead the Accounting team and guide direct reports toward excellence
• Train, develop, and mentor team members to strengthen skills and performance
• Create, refine, and improve accounting processes and workflows

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in partnering with an executive team, a high level of written and oral communication skills, high sense of urgency and ability to demonstrate discretion with highly sensitive and/or confidential information
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
